About Alexis

Before she graduated she had already landed her first position in the public accounting field with Marks Nelson. The largest privately owned public accounting firm in the Kansas City area. Alexis was part of the accounting services department where she did business accounting services for a wide variety of industries including: real estate, health care, manufacturing, law firms, HUD low income housing, construction, retail, restaurants, and not-for-profits. Alexis was promoted to Senior Accountant at Marks Nelson within two years.
In 2014, she sat for, and completed, her Certified Public Accountants exam, and was up for another promotion to Supervisor, when she decided to take a position closer to home at Meridian Business Services in Louisburg Kansas. At Meridian she was quickly entrusted with managing her own accounting clients, as well as preparing individual and business tax returns. She did business accounting and tax returns for a wide variety of industries including: manufacturing, real estate, health care, insurance, home building, construction, rental real estate, restaurants, contracting, website developers, farming, and not-for-profits. After the birth of her daughter in 2016, Alexis decided she wanted to make her own schedule, and started her own public accounting firm.
Alexis also has expertise in multiple accounting and tax software's including: Quickbooks Desktop, Quickbooks Online, Sage (Peachtree), Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft Great Plains, ProSystems, OneSite Accounting, OneSite Leasing and Rents, Creative Solutions Accounting, Drake, ProSeries, NetSuite, and Zoho.
Alexis is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants (KSCPA). In 2016 Alexis also became a Certified Not-For-Profit Specialist. She is also a Quickbooks ProAdvisor. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband Mitchell and children.
